Last week, the US Department of Labor reported that more than 15 million people in the US were out of work, some of them for a very long time. Being among the ranks of the unemployed, especially if you’ve been laid off, takes an enormous toll on individuals and their families.
With unemployment at persistently high levels, CBS News developed a story about the human side of this ongoing problem.
